2 Year ol daughter holind her BM's

My daughter had a BM when she was 9 months that hurt her. She developed a fissure. Since then, she has been stopping herself from having a BM. Our Doctor had us giving her Metamucil cookies once a day. That was not really working, she would still have to go but she stopped herself. Recently, she had us putting a small amount of mineral oil in her juice or water. But the problem has never been constipation, because she'll try to stop herself anytime. We eventually end up giving her a laxative so she can go in her sleep. We have made another appt to get this looked at. Anyone ever had this problem? Please only serious answers.
