Singer of "Rawhide" Frankie Laine died yesterday 2-6-07. Isn't it ironic?

I hope I am not the only one who finds the irony in the fact that Frankie Laine died on the same day that his song aired on a new episode of American Idol. Each audition city was instructed to learn a song related to their area, and San Antonio's was "Rawhide". I happened to be one of the people who auditioned, and as a group we sounded horrible. That song is harder to sing than you would imagine! I guess that's why they opted to air the original in the opening scene vs airing the awful noises we made trying. If they had aired us singing it, I might have wondered if that was what killed him! Maybe it was just his reaction to his song being played on that show in the first place.
