I get so mentally drained by people who are constantly 'down in the dumps.' They always look at life negatively and mope and complain, yet never want to take the inititive to improve their lot in life. They are happy to be miserable! I don't mind 'being there' for someone and helping them all that I can, but when they don't appear to want to help themselves or have a 'yeah but' to every suggestion that you give....it gets exhausting!

I know what you mean. I have a friend who at one point nobody wanted anything to do with anymore because she just keeps seeing what she doesn't have. I was watching a show on tv yesterday and they said that people attract the kind of energy they give out. Maybe that's why when someone is constantly down, nothing good ever comes out of it because they are attracting negative energy as opposed to people who always think their life is great despite the roller coaster ride they might be goin through.
