Could love last this long?

I guess for some of us, we hope. There was a picture discovered today of two skeletons in a clining embrace that has been documented essentially as either 4000 to 5000 year embrace. Do you think that has any significance to our society today and how fast we break our relationships?

How wonderful and touching to see. I would love to hear "their story", wouldn't you? It reminds me of the stories of the Titanic where loving older couples held tightly onto each other as the ship went down, allowing the younger people to enjoy life. So very touching.

Not all relationships break up , I have been married to my hubby for almost 46 years he was my one and only lover , we have 3 handsome sons and 4 beautiful grandchildren , My hubby is my soul mate and best friend and I would not change him for anyone else on this earth xx

I think there are loves that have lasted many lifetimes. Coming back and finding each other over and over again. Healing past hurts, and balancing karma, and remembering unconditional love.

I would like to think that love lasts that long. I think it definitely depends on the two people. I think it is definitely a beautiful thought that love is enduring. I agree that loves have lasted through different lifetimes. Because when I met my husband we had an automatic connection. Almost as if we had met before--odd as it sounds.

I saw this photo yesterday when I was reading the news and almost started crying. It's so beautiful. We'll never know the reason why they were clinging to each other, but I think its a powerful symbol on how love or human contact is possible. I hope people will be inspired by it.

I am wondering if they didn't run into a natural disaster, like a volcano or something. Hm. Anyway, I think love can last this lifetime and others. I think, if the right person is there for you, your "soul mate", then love has no end. However, I also believe we mistake other emotions for love which leads inevitably to break ups. I also think we are becoming less devoted to family and each other and more to the almighty dollar, work, internet, and image.
