I have never had a child, but I can tell you the answer. Yes. That is one of the reasons I don't want to have any.

I was induced with my son and it hurt really bad having the contractions because i was induced and the contractions came faster. Then I had an epistiotomy wich hurt for about a week.WhenI had my daughter though it was different.her being my second child I had her in 4 hours and the contractions were not as bad as when I was being induced with my son.It did feel like a ring of fire when my daughters head was coming out but other than that.I had no problems.Like my mom always told me it is a pain worth it and kind of forgotten because whe you see your child you just fall in love and think it was all worth it.

Of my 2 girls, giving birth to my eldest is one memory I will always treasure in my heart. I went into labor for 8 hours. I can feel this non-stop contractions that's running around my bulging belly. I have a very high pain threshold, so I was able to bear with the pain. But the woman beside me did nothing but kept moaning and yelling and cursing that made me real uneasy. As the hours went by, the pain was getting unbearable and finally, my doctor declared I was ready to give birth. I was unconcious during the whole proess of birthing. When I woke up and saw my eldest for the first time, all the pains went out of the window. I kept staring at her, speechless and awe. I can't believe I had a baby. Unfortunately for the next 2 weeks, I was face with another pain. During the delivery, my hemorrhoid came out and it was the first time that happened to me. It was so painful that I did nothing but crying all the time. I can only lay on one side and had to move carefully. After 2 weeks, the hemorrhoid's gone but one portion of my body was bruised. Looking back, all I did was to kept laughing about it. Seeing your baby was worth the pain.

It's a pain that you quickly forget. You can opt for medication to ease some of the pain but I go the natural route. It does hurt, I won't lie about that, but it is something that you forget the minute you see your child.

I have had 2 babies. It was not the delivery what hurt. Ok, for my first baby, I had painful contractions but my natural delivery was done using anesthesia. For my second baby, I did not have contractions at all. My water broke, I went to the hospital, they put me on anesthesia and I had my baby, never any pain! Thank God.

Yes it hurts like crazy. I had both my kids with no pain meds and it did hurt but once you hold your new baby in your arms you forget all about the pain.
