Its helped me a lot. I just couldn't stand how tired it made me for the first 6 wks but once I got past that i've been fine. I don't think I'll ever be able to go off it b/c it just keeps me mild and stable instead of up and down mood swings.

For the last couple of months I've been down on myself for being lazy and by mid-day I'm taking a nap because I get to the point that I can't hardly hold my eyes open. I hadn't really thought about it being a side effect of the Paxil. I was starting to worry that I was developing that disease that Cher has although at this point even Cher probably has more energy than me.

I have been taking Paxil for the last six years. Along with self help exercises, it has help me a lot. When I first started Paxil, I had to drink ginger ale for the upset stomach, but that was temporary. It really helps me to get a good nights sleep. Although, sometimes I have to take a nap the next day to be crisp and fully alert all day.

I tried Paxil for a short time. did nothing. Then my dr. tried Pexeva, which is a cousin to Paxil and it works wonderfully!!!!
If you have just started taking any antideppresant it may take 4-6 weeks to feel a REAL difference. I found people around me noticed the differences before I did...

I've taken paxil, but they were treating me for depression when I had ADHD, so it didn't do much for me. I've heard that for depression and anxiety however, that it works wonders. Good Luck with it, I hope it helps you :o)
