We have not had snow here for several winters, so I'm beginning to forget what it looks like never mind what it sounds like:)

One of the things I love best about snow is that it is silent. It also insulates the environment and muffles daily noise that we weren't even aware of hearing. It is a hushed, peaceful sound that almost whispers as it is falling. I absolutely love it.

Wow, I've experienced a million zillion snows over the years and never "heard it". Heard the wind blowing it, heard the shovels moving it, heard the kids playing in it. One of my favorite things to do is shovel the driveway in the middle of the night when it's snowing - silence!

It usually sounds like a blowing, roaring snowstorm to me! Snow can be silent and still or powerful and choatic. I think it goes back to some of the basics of nature, such as water and fire. Both can either give life or take it. The range of power they have is awesome.
