i live in richmond, north yorkshire,england...we speak english and richmond is famous for its castle. There are two legends about richmond castle one is that king arthur and his knights are sleeping in a crypt below the keep waiting for the day when england needs them once again.... and the other is the legend of the ghostly drummer boy. there is a underground passage leading from the castle to easby abbey about 3 miles away built in medieval times it was a old escape route to the castle for the monks at the abbey.later in the 18th century some soldiers discovered the entrance to the passage..as they were to large to crawl through they sent down a small drummer boy to see where it went to.they followed the sound of his drum about half way to the abbey when suddenly the drumming stopped!! he was never seen again but his ghost is ment to haunt the tunnel some say you can still hear him drumming!

That drummer boy story is great! I love legends like that. Charelston is full of those kind of stories. So many they have ghost tours everynight where you walk the city by lantern and listen to those type of stories. Always creeps me out. But in a good way.

I live in Charleston South Carolina, USA. It's a beautiful historic city that sits on the Atlantic ocean. Famous as the birth place for the American Civil War, Charleston was first settled in the 1700s by the English and the French. We boast great southern hospitality, beautiful plantations, gardens, and antebelum style houses. The food known as 'low country cuisine' is unlike any. The hisotic district downtown is always full with great shops, open air markets, horse drawn carriges and siteseers. Come to charleston! You'll love it.
