Pay of all our bills, buy a house (simple family home), buy a car (dont have one at the moment), establish a college fund for my son, and set aside some funds for him, give some to our parents and siblings, invest the rest and live off the interest.

The very first thing I would do is invest it in a solid mutual fund. That fund could generate almost any amount of money you would want per month. If your conservitive and would not want to dig into the million it still would give you a pretty good monthly income.
To simply go and spend it all would be foolish. Use other people's moeny and it will last a long time.

Pay my house off, buy a reliable car, put money aside for my daughter's education, pay my parent's debt off, donate a huge chunk to the Act101/EOP program that gives kids a second chance at going to college, put the rest into savings.
