What am I living for?Can you reach out to people who don't know life's purpose?

Most people keep on searching for his real purpose in life. Sometimes because of too much problem, people attempt or even committed suicide. They have lose their sense of purpose in life. Most Christians have been confronted with situations requiring them to reach out for people and share the Gospel, which is one of the primary purpose of life. For you, what is the purpose of life here on earth?

Hi and welcome to mylot. yes I agree people lose sight of what their purpose is,and sometimes we never know. I try to see the positive side and know in any hardship there is a lesson learned and one that perhaps I can use to help others. Sometimes our mission may be to love and care and advise others on their journey.That may be my goal as I love people, meeting people,helping people and letting people I know I care and God cares, no matter what. I take each day as it comes and know I can handle any storm, cause there is always a rainbow in the end!

I understand the purpose of human life is to pursue the understanding of the true self, of the truth about the existence of God, and the understanding why we are here, and what we are supposed to be doing with our time while we are here, or while we are in these human bodies. Human intelligence is meant to cultivate true spiritual knowledge, so we can free ourselves from suffering and ignorance. It takes much courage and perseverance to stay on this path, and much sincerity. But it is not impossible to do, everyone can do it, if they want to badly enough.

I agree with you that most people long for understanding of himself or the truth about God's existence. But let me just add some points to your comment. I'm sure that real Christians already discovered the purpose(s) of his life here on earth. And I also believed that one of this purpose is to reach out for the lost and give them a sense of purpose in their existence. It does not necessarily mean that you have to talk to every person having this problem. Sometimes or even most of the time, you just have to live a life that would reflect a Christlike attitude then it would speak for itself. Let Christians keep up the light burning in this lost world. Allowing Christ to fill us with His love, and allowing ourselves to seek him and getting to know who He is in us and who we are in Him will surely lead us to discovering our life's purpose. When our purpose becomes very clear as we walk with Him day after day, we will find ourselves useful. And when we do, we will taste happiness so sweet and liberating.
