Do you use a regular monthly planner like in this picture? Do you use a PDA? Some people prefer using the calendar in their cell phones or in their email program? Which do you prefer and why? I use a regular monthly planner for my work appointments and meetings. At home, I use my cell phone for my personal appointments. I like keeping my work and personal appointments separate. Since I don't have a PDA I am not able to use that though I probably would if I did have one.

At work I use a big desk monthly planner like the one in the picture. At home I use a wall calendar. Sometimes I jot things in a little book beside my computer. I do not have a PDA or cell phone. I try to not have too many appointments to have to remember.

I use a rather large planner by Day Timer. It zips shut and hold my pen, pad, address/telephone book, monthly planner, along with other things. I have alot of appointments and I like being organized. In fact if it is not in the planner, it does not get done. I also keep my medical history including medicine allergies, medications, Dr's names and numbers, surgerys etc. I keep my insurance and other important cards in it also. I carry it everywhere I go. It is an extension of me. LOL
I keep my personal and work appointments together so they dont conflict.

I actually use a combination of Microsoft Outlook and my mobile phone.
I enter any important event into Outlook, so that I will be reminded nearer to the occasion. In the mornings I check the calendar in Outlook and if there is an appointment listed then I shall set the alarm in my mobile phone for an appropriate period prior to the meeting. I find that this combination is very effective and serves the purpose adequately.

That definitely sounds like a great idea and plan. Happy to hear that it works very well for you. I too sometimes use Outlook for my sppointments and set reminders on it since I am on the computer a lot. I just use my cell phone for personal appointments.

I have a big calendar on my fridge that has all the kids appointments etc on it. I also have the same information in a monthly planner book that I keep in my handbag so I can make new dental appoints etc while I am at the dentist. I then transfer all the info every couple of days. I would be lost without a system of some kind.

I just started using my cell phone as a way to keep track of my and the baby's doctors appointments, WIC appointments, etc. I really need to get a dayplanner as this would help me with other things, such as when my homework assignments are due and stuff such as this. If I had a PDA, I would probably use it excessively. It would be so awesome to have one, but I just can't afford one at this time.

i put my mobile phone to use all the time. i use my phone's calendar. i find it better and convenient for me. i go anywhere with my mobile phone. plus i put everything on alarm mode to remind me even about small appointments. this method is so convenient to people like me who always forget things and schedules. an alarm always makes me say " oh, yes! that reminds me..." and my day's better.

I write my appointments on my wall calendar. That way I see it everyday and will not forget. That is the easiest way for me to remember.

I have a huge calendar right next to my head in this room that I write all important dates on. I also have a little weekly planner that I carry with me, to serve the same purpose.

I use a PDA. I actually prefer a "day planner" book type thing, but I was downsizing and they are a bit bulky. I guess I'm sort of old school. I prefer to jot things down on a paper calendar. PDA's are so small and I can't see everything at once. But now that everything is in my PDA, I haven't set aside a time to transfer all my info to a day planner. Also, the PDA is like a computer and if you don't back it up and it crashes, you're in trouble. This happened once and I thought I was going to have a heartattack.

I use a planner for both. I like to write things down. I also carry around a spiral bound notebook to write down tasks I need to do.

I usually use my cell phone to store my appointments so i rarely miss any of
I remember them. They worry me constantly to the point of waking up worrying the time has come and I'm missing it. My Mac iCal is nice, but I'm not at all diligent about entering/updating them using the alarm on it.

Well, I am sure this is a little old fashioned for some, but I have a big desk calender hanging in my Kitchen. You know one of those you scribble all over and take notes on at work and have to search for a name or numbr on it frequently...lol Anyway, it is my base point for the day. everything gets written in the appropriate day on there. If it's a bill, or appointment, anything and everything. If it's for that day or coming up soon I can see it all right there and plan for it. I save the sheets in my filing cabinet if they contain something i made need later.

i normally use my planner to keep a track of my appointments. i don't wanna rely on my p.c. as normally i'm out for meeetings. if i would have had a lap top i think i wont be needing my planner then.
