Why Cant I Get a Job? WHY????

I'm sorry to be ranting like this but I am totally frustrated! I have been looking for work since December 27th, almost 2 months. I look and look, I apply and I apply. NOONE wants to give me a job! Not to mention I keep getting jobs where the managers make me think I have the job and turns out they didnt really want me anymore. Am I a bad person? Do I have no experience? NO! I have 6 years of retail experience, I'm open on evenings, weekends and only want part time. I'm open to any salary, and I'm only asking for 20hrs a week. WHY cant I find a job that will take me? Even more so I am willing to do just about anything, and I cant even get interviews set up correctly. I thought I had a job at Barnes & Noble. Now they say they cant fit me in the budget to work till like 3 or 4 weeks. I need work TODAY! I cant pay any bills coming up cause of this! Its just WRONG! At Starbucks after Starbucks I gave up. I could have done an interview last week with Wet Seal and I couldnt cause it was on a night I had to view a dance thing for my tap class. They arent hiring anymore now, they hired 9 people last week! Its like the worst thing ever. I just CANT find a job. Any tips would help. I'm not making enough doing online stuff either. Sure I did tips, they might pay me $6.00 sometimes, and on here I'm up to $2.25. But that doesnt pay the big big bills. What can I do? Why is it SO hard to get a job at places which are hiring already? SIGH!!!! thats all. I feel better. thanx for listening.

I am assuming you are in the UK. You don't say how you are looking for a job, but by the sounds of it you live in a big city (you have a starbucks!). Have you tried doing a search on the Job Centre website at http://www.jobcentreplus.gov.uk ? OK, the search feature is a bit sh*t, but if you persevere with it, it does have a lot of jobs - and retail would be one of the job sectors they cover. Good luck!

Actually no. I live in Califoria in the USA. I have my whole life. I am looking for jobs either by calling people or applying online. I have gone to the mall and applied to most that are hiring. I am going to try again tomorrow. I DO have an interview set up for Monday for another place. I will probably just return to retail cause its what I am good at. As far as Starbucks we have several but this new city I am in Oceanside, is not really BIG. Its actually smaller and kinda off to the side of all other cities. Oddly enough it borders Carlsbad which means its kinda not on the way to anything. Interesting city I'll say that much :)) But thanx for the help anyways :)

you don’t have to be frustrated, there are thousands of company in the industry. Always think positive, and remember you don’t need them, they need you. Believing in your self would help a lot to boost you up... good luck!

well first of all i'd like to say i wish you much luck in finding a job. i know how hard that can be as i am looking for a job as well. i've been looking for about 3 weeks now and found nothing. no i don't think you are a bad person. you've had 6 years of retail experience and have a pretty open schedule. i would suggest going online to monster.com or hotjobs.com those sites will provide you with many places and you can send your resume online. so you'd be saving gas money by doing this. plus you can apply to many in one day. i know making money online can be hard too. i spend most of my day online trying to make some money for my bills. you may also try a waitressing or hostessing job for right now. to get you by until you can find a good job. good luck on your job hunt.
