giving it up

Firstly, I see you are new to myLot, so welcome. I hope you spend many happy hours here. Many people give to charities only when it is a tax deduction or when they get acclaim for doing so. The charities benefit so we will not begrudge them their little tax deduction or moment of glory. They are the ones who miss out on the joy of giving and the satisfaction of being able to help others. They know nothing or little of this. Those of us who give from generosity are rewarded from within ourselves as we know we have done our little part in helping others.
