is basketball given more importance than football and cricket?

yeah... i like basket ball, but....footbal more greatest than basketball football is a global sport... you see, world cup was a big event, every country in all around the world want to be join in this match... does basket ball have????

I'm in the USA so I can't speak for cricket. Basketball has become boring. When Michael Jordan left the second time, the sport went downhill. Now it's just similarly skilled players playing against eachother and trading points. Do you really need to see anything besides the last 2 minutes? The score usually ends with a 2-point difference. It would be interesting to see what the average scoring difference is in a NBA game. I think the limited spots on the roster also make it less exciting than football. I sometimes can follow a kid from high school, through college, and into the NFL. The chances of getting into the NBA from college seem to be rediculously small. It makes sense since there are 11 kids on the field in football versus 5 on the court.
