Do you think teachers should be provided with weapons

No. They dont need it! It will only give a negative effect to their students and will endanger not only their students but also themselves.

No, teachers, as well as everyone else can lose their cool. Having a weapon handy would just be asking for trouble. There are teachers at our school who consistantly lose keys, books, purses, I would hate to think that something as serious as a weapon could be lost. I think that a better solution would be prevention of ALL weapons. My husband is a teacher at our high school & I would hate to think that he would be put in a position of having to use a weapon on a child. No to mention that a weapon could easily be taken away from the intended user & be used against them. Again, the key is PREVENTION!
