Do you prefer windows, or Linux?

I like Linux more than Windows. In fact i have a dual booting operating system. People are uncomfortable using Linux, because they are far to familiar with Windows. Linux is better than Windows, because of security issues, Windows is the favorite target of virus authors, spyware, malware etc. Without a good anti-virus, firewall suite you can not surf the Internet safely. The password facility in the windows is very poor, you can have an administrator account without a password, which is very unsafe. Also, free software along with Windows is very less, notepad, Media player, word pad, Internet Explorer 7, games like solitaire, freecell, minesweeper come to mind. Whereas, Linux has very good user password policy, there is only 1 administrator (root user), user passwords with alphabet characters are not accepted (it has to be alphnumeric), By default the system does not allow you to surf the Internet with the root account, so your system files are protected. Also, plenty of free software is provided, Mozilla Firefox is free, Open Office Suite (similar to MS Office is free), plenty of games (more than 100 games are available), Programming tools, Website development tools, Tools for starting server service are available. Also, the Graphic User Interface of Linux is far superior to Windows, check out distros like Suse Linux 10.2, Dream Linux etc.

windows for work , programe and entertaiment and linux for servers and shell scripting

I prefer window as there are a lots of software i can download which are avaialble for window enviornment .But as linux is freely availble so i like it's ubuntu version very much .

I like Windows because it is user friendly but so bad that there are many virus on Windows. I used Windows and before I have used Linux.

I am using Microsoft windows, i think microsoft windows is easy and we can play pc games in it. while linux although proides us all codes and commands but some how complicated. as microsft os is common so i prefer it, very rare people use linux, so its difficult to work with linux.
