I think the illusion wears off when the honeymoon stage is over(first six months), when u fight about the little things in the relationship.Thats when real chemistry comes, how u both deal with each others quirks.Watcha think?

For me, the only illusion in love is expecting too much from your prince charming or princess. In the first stage of a relationship, there's always the illusion of having this perfect guy/girl, but as time pass and the more you really get to know the person, that's when those illusions start to fade and you realize that he/she is not perfect after all. You begin to notice his/her flaws and shortcomings. And it's during this stage that you have to decide whether to accept all that he/she is together with his/her not so attractive traits or believe that your perfect prince charming or princess could still be out there waiting for you. I guess real chemistry is when you realize that there's no such thing as a perfect guy/girl but only two people who accept each other despite all their imperfections and makes them just as perfect for each other.

I say when you're newly weds/bf or gf, most of it are illusion. Real chemistry comes in when you've been together for at least one year. I agree with you. 6 months is I think a good estimate for honeymoon stage. I like this discussion. It made me think how and where I am.

I know I am still young but I can relate to this lol! well sis, in my imagination. I believe this statement is true. First six months in a marriage is probably what they call honeymoon stage, then the next stage is the real one. The real that is happening in you. Most people though is in a denial. I think it's more on illusion.

Yup, caught in that 'fairy tale' life we forget we are all flawed human beings.

I think so too. you tend to feel so happy that during those times you never had imagined bad things that might happen... then toink! you had awaken from the illusion when problems starts to come out.. but surpassing every bit of it is much joy! and the chemistry lives on....
