The other day, while I was eating at a food court with my partner, a man of middle age approached us. He asked for some money citing that he has not been eaten for 3 days. I noticed that he was quite well dressed, with a analogue watch, leather shoe and a branded shirt.
We offer to buy food for him, but he said its too expensive to eat there. He will buy the food at somewhere cheaper and requested that we gave him the money.
I didn't want to give cause I think that he is blaffing. But out of human gesture, we just gave him $2. He tok it but curse under his breath. My sympathise became anger but then my partner cool me down. Should we really help this kind of joker.

I would probably did like what u did..offer to buy him food if he refuses then i would just ignore him. He didnt seem the kind that really need money. Imagine if one person gave him $2..if 10 people?? These kinda of people uses other people kindness to their own benefit.

You did a good deed by giving someone money in a time of "need" what he did with it, is his problem. I would have been upset also if he started muttering under his breath, but the deed was done, and what could you have done, taken the money away.lol.
