friend turned enemy?

Due to some misunderstanding one of my friends stopped talking and communicating with me. I tried to find out the reason and also tried talking to him, but of no us. I had invited him and his family for dinner during my son's birthday. His family except he did not turn up. Yesterday he was promoted and I went to congratulate him, I shook hands but his face did not respond well. Should I terminate my friendship or still keep persuading him to be friends.

the best way would be talking to him. try to know what went wrong where. and in cae you can't talk......you can mail.

you should value your friendship...you are the one who can more understand him right now..let time reveals..i think when times come both of you can fix it..
