I have heard of stories that Filipinos were looked down abroad. Like they are just second class citizen. They are not treated properly. But when foreigners visit our country they are very welcome and most of us here have a high respect for them.

It's true unfortunately. Technically speaking though, once we move to a different country, then we are second class citizens of that country. As to being looked down upon; we Filipinos also have a habit of looking down upon certain immigrants to our country. We are a little more hospitable than most though. I think that it really depends on the culture of the country you're in. It's a good thing that most Filipinos maintain their unique sense of humor no matter where they go.

Filipinos are very welcomed in my country. I think they are very caring and hard working people. Filipinos are so very friendly to everyone here, I wish more imigrants would be as friendly. I've dated a pinay before and hope to again someday.

Yeah, techinically speaking second class. But they are also treating us second class, like dogs. I have a friend who have been to some country and she read in the airport. Beware of Filipinos. What do you think of that? Is that nice? It is just the same as Beware of dogs. What do you think of the Filipinos a stupid, wild human? I hope the world will see us not as nothing, slaves, or to be abused but as human with equal rights as they are.

for sure yes, they are second class citizen since it is not their own country. It is usual for some foreigners to be given respect and sometimes more privileged particularly from those western countries. Even in some countries, this things do happen considering the foreigners to came from a well developed countries. I just want to take note that there are quite a number of races that do love the Filipinos, the way they work, the way they go along with the others and they are loving. I've been to places and I have observed it and I should know as well because I am a Filipino, Mabuhay!

But here in our country most of us treat them good. I've always heard stories that Filipinos abroad were treated liked dogs or crazy ones. My sister been to Hongkong for travel, she bought gifts for us she said most of the sell owners there treat them as dogs. If they look for some goods to buy but they would not buy immediately the store owner would said. Go away. I hope my sister can speak to you how she felt humilated by that act.
