I am currently reading 'The Stand' by Stephen King, and would highly recommend it. It's a brilliant example of King's work, and is versatile enough to be liked by a wider range of people than the rest of his novels. It tells the story of American survivors, after a 'super-flu' bug swept the globe, killing about 90% of the population. Sounds a bit run-of-the-mill, but of course, there is a standard King twist into unreality.

I could never get through The Stand. I tried to read it four or five times. I would get about one hundred pages into it, and I would get so paranoid I could finish. I would hear people sneezing and coughing, and I would instantly think, Oh no people are getting sick. Maybe I am just paranoid. I feel after the bird flu scare I may have become accustomed to deadly viruses. In would like to try to read it again. I love Stephen Kings other works.

i love John Grisham too. well i like spy novels though John's doesnt really into spy. i like Ken Follett's novels and Nelson DeMille. they're of the same kind so browse some of their books. you'll have fun surely. for Ken's books, i like; Jackdaws [my favorite], The Pillars of the Earth, Lie Down With The Lions. and for nelson's my very favorite is The Talbot Odyssey. hope you'll have fun.=)

Hi joy, Depending upon your preference like what kind of books you like, then people can suggest good books. I like books of sprituality and philosophy. Books of Swami Vivekananda. In case if you are looking for humorous stuff, then try "Graduation album" by Ashley's.

I would suggest the Red Dragon series by Thomas Harris. These books are what the Silence of the Lambs movies are based on. I find the author to be very descriptive. You should also check out Andrew Vachs. He is another amazing author, although less well known.
