Do we really achieve freedom without exerting effort?

It is quoted that success is measured by effort.
When you succeed you deserve your freedom. I think most of us here are struggling to achieve Freedom, that is to do everything we want in life.
No one deserves to achieve freedom without exerting an effort.
I will succeed someday and will reach my own freedom.

In contradiction to what you said, not at all time freedom is achieve through success and effort. With a deep faith, right principles, and cooperation to the people involve, we could have our freedom.
Like what happened on the philippines on the time of martial law, people exert effort to be free, work hard to be successful so that they could protect their families from the cruel dictator. But what happened? still they fail...
what could be the reason? it's because they were so selfish, they work hard and harder for their own good and goals... not thinking that they were just wasting their time for a false belief. But then, they gain faith, believe that they could won, have principles, and cooperate.
They win... FREEDOM... Philippines is free..

Thanks you for the opinion Lextoper..
Yes, I did get your point but I think all faith and right principles are always their. They come together, you will not have to proceed if you don't have those, that's what keeps you striving harder.
Thanks..
