How important is feedback to your line of work? Do you need to be given feedback for the report you submitted to your boss? If it's negative, how do you react?
Feedback is vital to my work as transcriptionist. This way, i learn from my mistakes and try not to make them again.

But of course, feedback is really necessary for us to know how far have we gone. If you're boss wouldn't say anything about your work, be it good or bad then you wouldn't realize your worth. How would you know that you're boss is happy and pretty satisfied with your performance if he won't give you some assessment at all? And if in the event that the feedback turns out to be a little negative, then that's your challenge to do better the next time. We deserve second chances and there's always a room for growth. :)

I think it is very important for a boss to give feedback on your work in all areas. How else are you going to develop, learn and improve on your skills if your not given positive feedback? If negative feed back is given, it should be constructive and not personal.

A good boss will call the person who has submitted the report and compliment that person for excellet and useful report. If the report needs some correction, he will discuss and without hurting the feelng of subordinate, explain what the points to be added to make the report appreciable. He knows how to take out a hair from a butter. If he does it successfully without anger, the employment pour out their love and affection in their work and the organization benefits in the end.
