better than the older series?

While I agree that Batman Begins was definately a major feat in production and special effects as far as Hollywood films go I do not think it was better than all the rest. For example, I found Katie Holmes' performance to be less than stellar and that seriously detracted from the movie. My favorite Batman movie remains Batman Returns, without a doubt. Batman Begins is a close second though.

Well i think it's an evolution for movies industry. It's up on the currecnt tecnologies they were used in film making, and also depend on producer creativity. Up until now, i do like all the batman series. Why, because there is a thing that make the movie special every series. About batman begins, i think it really cool and have their own strenght to be able compete another movies :)

I think the previous movies tried to kind of follow the tradition of the series, which was a little corny. Christopher Nolan looked at this one from a serious side, the way the comics looked at it, I think it is a better take on Batman. I can't wait for the next one.

It was darker. Batman is a dark series, and fear is Batman's main weapon. I liked how fear was a tangible force in the movie. They did the Scarecrow right.
