Can you love your enemies?

obviously u can be friend with ur enemies... my best friend used to be my best enemy.. we used to hate each other to its extreme... i hate him like anythin.. but now we are the best of buddies...

well i dont want to have enemies and yes its hard for me to love my enemies if i have any

I dont think its actually possible to love ones enemies,not unless some turn of events cause the foe to turn into a friend.But, its possible to forgive them.The time and effort it takes to forgive someone depends on the extend of the wrong done,the effect it had on us,and on whether the wrong-doer actually repents.I have personally felt it is easy to forgive if he/she repents doing it. But,I dont forget what happened.I feel FORGIVING AND FORGETTING are two different things.Though its great to forgive, it would be foolishness to forget how a person has treated you.Once you 'remember' you wont give the other person another chance to play with your emotions and hurt you,because you would already know what to expect from him/her.Its right to forgive.Arent we destroying our enemies when we forgive them?

it depends on the situation..if my enemy wants to forget all the things between him and me and wants a friendship..then i ll definetly give him friendship..lots of enemies means lots of problems..so try to reduce enemies and thus ur problems will also get reduced

well.. i dont try it yet..but i think its depend on the situation..if person are willing to love you too..both of you are in the way..

I do not think I can love my enemies. Frankly speaking, the best I can do is that I do not hate them. maybe in the future , i will try to do it. I doubt if I can succeed

no one is our enemy all hv their different views that's it wht makes enemies...and yes i try to love them...coz we get nothing when we make enemies but we get love in return when we love sum1.

Well..... Honestly no one can love their enimies. But one can forgive them and make them friends, general friends. Actually time will tell you the depth of your ralation. Directly it is hard or difficult but not impossible.

hehehe it's kinda hard to do that... but then i have to. or else, i'm still the biggest loser. i want to be the "bigger man" as they say. i just dont want any trouble anymore :)

HONESTLY SPEAKING,ITS HARD WHEN THE FIGHT IS FRESH,WELL TIME COMES IT HEAL THE PAIN THEN I CAN SAY THAT I LOVE THEM.

The Bible says we should. But, it's something that I don't think i can really do. I don't have enemies but there are some people around whom i dislike. And as i dislike them i don't even talk to them. I can't pretend to like someone that i dislike, though some people are really good at faking. I'm definitely not one of them.

I try to love my "enemies" just because what ever bad thing they have done to me was a learning experience that I went through to make me who I am today

I live in Italia, a Catholic country, Jesus said that we have always to forgive and love our enemies. Well, first in my country it's very difficult to find a person forgiving another person who killed a relative or friend of his/her and second, I'm not Christian, so I follow only my Pagan ethic. If I have an enemy I simply ignore him/her, to me indifference - not hate - is the best thing with our enemies, but if he/she tryes to harm me I'll do my best to defend myself. So I don't love and don't hate my enemies, I simply don't care about them....

If you have another definition of love then maybe you can love your enemy. Its not easy to love someone you hate all your life or someone who made you life miserable. You can just pretend to like them but not love. I don't want say no to possibilities. You can try to love them but its a long process of accepting and trusting. If you can trust your enemies then there is a chance to love them. I can be nice to them but cannot love them that easy.
