This is also called as sleeping sickness.
The paitients are found here in our state of maharashtra in India.
How much serius this desease is?
What are the symptoms and remedies to this?
Can it be rooted out completly by medicines?
I am worried because it used to occur in Africa only,
how come it's here in India?
Is it a contagious type of desease?

The disease is transmitted through the bite of an infected tsetse fly.
At first the trypanosomes multiply in subcutaneous tissues, blood and lymph.
In time, the parasites cross the blood-brain barrier to infect the central nervous system.
The process can take years.
This disease is not contagious type.
The health dept in India is working hard on this issue.
The government has already taken this seriously.
So don't worry!
