i think its best feature by far is that you can now talk with MSN users.. :) now that's something. :) although they competed with MSN, it's a good thing that they are now affiliates.

I thnk so that its originality ans its simplicity made yahoo mail service so popular. It is the leaderi in email service provider due to its reliability ,security enhancments. It also provides other featurs like blogging, question and answers ,yahoo messenger etc.

Yahoo got popular because it competed with msn directly lol which gave it press and hype.... which of course lead to hits on the internet. Also geocities was cool back in the day :p
