Going to Bangkok

I will be flying in to Bangkok past midnight and also leaving Bangkok close to midnight. Is this a safe time to travel to and from my hotel? What is the safest way to travel from the two points? Thank you.

actually i think you shouldn't be out after 10pm. The safest way to travel would be by taxi. Or train during the day.. I mean aside from pickpockets, there are many many people around to ensure some level of security.
