if the earth stops suddenly then the first thing to stop after the earth would be the wind . it would change its direction dramatically and the areas of low pressure would become of high pressure
the next thing what would happen we would not experience day and night .we would experience either day or night.
the climate would change.
ultimately we would die.

If the earth stops spinning all of a sudden, Everything will be gone. The earth will be upside down! Everything will be gone. Crushed into pieces. Even the most beautiful girl will fade away. :P There will be no time for us to think to take the next step!!Everything will be gone in a sec!!!

Well if its just a hypothetical question then I can give a non-scientific answer.
I think that we would probably get flung off it because you did say all of a sudden. So do you know what I mean. If it slowed down at a gentle rate first then we wouldn't but you said suddenly. SO we'd just get flung off it and then I think it would all be like in the bible when the apocolypse comes. I think it says something about big horses and ngod comes to earth and we all confess our sins before god. Well if i was making a movie then thats what would happen.
Imagine that you actually knew the earth was going to suddenly stop and you weren't allowed to tell anyone but you were just trying to hint to the myLot users to prepare for this. How freaky would that be???
Oh and interesting fact of the moment (I searched it on jeeves cos I was curious)....
The earth at equator spins at 1038 miles per hour while only spinning at about 800 miles per hour at the poles. i just presumed it was the same all over vut obviously it isn't.
