Yes I agree with you, why to live in the dark, better to find out your chances. If chances are there then you are lucky if not then you can search someone else.

I agree. Why waste time carrying a torch for someone when you could find out if you have a chance? You may get rejected, but then you are free to obssess over somebody new! You might miss meeting the right person while you are wasting time hoping for something that might never be.
