Do make sure your closet is closed before bed?

No, not really . Everyone do have some ritual to do before doing something or in your case going to bed. I myself need to drink water before going to bed. There are a glass with water next to my bed and it do the same thing every night. Sometimes people do have reason doing the ritual that they doing. I need to drink atleast one gulp of water and it has been a habit of mine since small. Don't worry about it, there are nothing to be a shame of. I bet that your husband also have some ritual too, just that it is not that obvious . Just find observer him for 48 hours you will know, sometimes people do the ritual without they knowing that it is a ritual to them. Their body remember the action and repeat it as reflex and it also know as muscle memory.
Well, i am not sure what reason you have for the ritual but it remind me of a 3D animation / movie call "Monster INC". It about monster in the closet. The monster will come out from the closet and scare the children in order to gain energy .

yeah , now you mention it. Ii does sound spooky seeing the clothes hanging in the closet. what you can do is you can try using those mosquitoes repeller light bulb. That way you can have some "light" and it won't be so spooky at night not to mention repelling mosquitoes at the same time. "Hit two birds with one stone" ...

Sorry I had to laugh not at you but I do the same thing in my kids room it's hard to do in mine as ours is a walk through closet that enters into our bathroom, so it's all open....

I close it enough so that it doesn't look open, but if I close it all the way, it makes a really loud noise in the morning when my husband opens it to get clothes out for work. This irritates me, because it potentially wakes up the kids. So I like to keep it partially open. I think I know how you feel, though. I hate seeing a dark, open closet. Kinda spooky!

My closet is already always close because we don,t want our cats to go in it.
But when I was younger I remember that I was always closing the closet also. It was right in front of my bed. And if I had forgot to close the door and realise it I would always put the light on before lol.

My closet is always closed...but if it was open...i would diffently make sure it was closed..lol..too much cold air comes from it!
