Both are very good and very different. They have different styles and it makes it hard to pick one as being better then the other. I prefer Grissom but Horatio is very good as well. It's a very close call as to which one I prefer. Grissom is just a little ahead of the other. I like how he handles cases and other people. He really seems to be able to understand them and how to pick them apart. I also like how sometimes little things makes him think of other clues and off he goes.

I prefer Grissom to Horatio. Grissom Just seems more like a friend that you have had for a long time. Horatio is good but when he stands and looks to the side with those sun glasses in his hand It just irratates me. It's like he thinks hes superior or something.

i agree that in the program grissom seems more dedicated to his job rather than horatio who i think just wants it over and done with and is more into punishing criminals rather than solving the crime

Exactly!! How many times can he take his sunglasses on and off in one show! Bah! Horatio is way over the top, and unrealistic, but for some reason I just can get enough of him...
But Grissom is just cool. The kind of cool where he doesn't even know he is cool.
Between the two I would have to chose Grissom, but Horatio is entertaining for different reasons.

I'm with you on that. I like Horatio, but is really on the melodramatic side. Everything is the most impotrant thing that has ever happened.

Grissom, without a doubt, and for so many reasons.
I just can't get into CSI:Miami, and Horatio is the main reason; I just don't like him! He tries to hard to be cool, and it comes of soooo overdone and melodramatic.

I prefer Gil Grissom by far. In fact Horatio gets on my every last nerve. There is something about him that just seems so patronizing that I'm surprised none of his staff have tried to kill him off.

Grissom, hands down. Horatio has no personality. To me, he is quite boring. Horatio never gets emotional about anything and his voice is always so bland. I think he really has no heart.

i like Gil Grissom... ever since the first season, i have liked Grissom's ways - how he solves crimes, how weird he looks with his bugs and insects, how he treats and manages his team, etc etc... he just has the perfect profile for a CSI...

I personally prefer Horatio. I find psychology interesting and I think his character partrays that kind of leadership. Yeah he's not a lot compared to Grissom but his family orientation can be of interest.

I prefer Grissom - he really suits the part as opposed to horatio - I prefer CSI original series over CSI Miami and others.

totally different characters. grissom though shows you how a forensics expert should be, while horatio shows you how to be a bigshot crime investigator.

GIL GRISSOM. There is something about William Peterson that just makes me drool. He is awesome. I can watch him all day long. I love David Caruso also but not near as much.

I don't think they are comparable, really. They have different teams, and they are each perfect for their show. I wouldn't want them to, say, trade spaces - they wouldn't 'fit' in each others palces, but I like them both.
Also - we have to give Horatio a bit of a break - the director is known for his drama, and Horatio (David) is just doing as he is told. There are plenty of other ridiculously dramatic scens in all of CSI that can't be blamed on David Caruso.

They both are so cool.. they each have their good points ans both are good looking men.. I lean more towards Horatio though.
