How often do you format your hard drive?

i format my pc only if it gives problems!like this 1 time the through the internet there was a virus it was quite difficult to switch the pc on but now after formatting its ok!and another time there some installations files missing(windows).so i had to format i think last year i formatted i around 5-10 times

it usually depends. as long as my computer is still up and running with no problems at all, i dont have to format it. i think i reformat every 2 or 3 years, and that is when i do upgrades like buy a new hard drive or upgrade my motherboard. i think im really good in keeping my computer in good condition.

i do it once a month.once my computer runs slowly i always do reformat and install a fresh windows.

I format my hard drive every 4 months because of some malwares and virus. This process really take time because you have to install again all the programs that you're using after windows installation like microsoft office, acrobat reader..., aside from the hardware drivers.

i format my hard drive every 3 months... i was suggested by a computer repairer that one shud format the drive atleast once in 4 months otherwise the dumped data may get bad sectors on the drive...

Last time i formatted it was a week ago, because i had a trojan in my computer and i couldn't delete it. I format my hard drive often because i have an image of windows and i get my computer back to normal in 3 minutes after i formatted my hard-disk.

i haven't tried formattiing my hardisk.

I just format it last month maybe, because it's a new hardisk, so I format it, and install it with my old windows xp service pack 1, now I'm using it, hope can make a long journey with this new harddisk, and do not need to reformat it for the other years or 2 years, I'm very very if I must reintalling the application one by one, ouggggh, so wasting time.

I format my hard drive around 5 times a year. Actually I only format it when the system is slow, but i don't know why my PC always becomes slower and slower.

Lessee, I have had my current computer for 4 years now and have never had to format yet. I do have virus protection on it, so that helps a little bit. I have waaay too much stuff on it to just format it because people say to do so. I spent about 6 months working for Gateway Computers in their customer service/technical support department and I reformatted and reinstalled windows so many times while I was working there I don't ever need to do it again, thank you very much!
