is marriage important?

ive never really imagined myself getting married or anything its not something ive ever dreamed about the whole big white dress and being centre of attention just dos'nt seem like fun! and these days i'm not really sure it's something you need to do? people seemed to get married and divorced at the drop of a hat! is it really sacred anymore?
