I think ,Worlds best test batsman is Brian lara he has many time this do.
He had made highest test score.
And many time he has made highest record and run for West Indies team.
He is oldest batsman in West Indies team.

I will go for Mathew Hayden .He meshes attack with defence and attack beautifully.He has no parallel in test opening in modern cricket.
