Although I enjoy watching Iron Chef America on the Lifestyle Network, I do miss the original Japanese Iron Chef. There's something about the latter's format that I can't seem to find in its American counterpart. I also feel that the competition in the original series is more fierce than in Iron Chef America.
What's your take on these two shows? Were you able to catch the original Japanese Iron Chef show? Which one do you like better?

I love watching both shows because I really love to cook. But If I would choose one, I prefer the original one which is Iron Chef(japanese). I find the show more challenging and the results more artistic and delicately finish than the Iron Chef America. I feel that the original one is a lot entertaining than the American Counterpart.

I've been watching the iron chef japanese series here in our country and I could say that it's really a great show considering you also learn a lot from japanese dishes and the way they prepare the food, I haven't watched or even viewed the american counterpart of iron chef since it hasn't been aired here yet but hopefully they'll air it sooner since iron chef japanese seems to end their season?
