As you will be aware when kisd start to play computer games they get very addicted..i am not innocent of this as i play runescape for about 5 hours per day. What effects have u noticed on kids who play computer games alot in the short term and also in the long term and has their mood changed?

My son is very addicted to the computer and his computer games. They seem to take priority over everything else in his life. He would rather play a game, then come help me with any tasks (which I can understand to a point). I find he almost zones out when he is playing his games and often I have to repeat myself several times before he actually hears me. My youngest daughter hardly ever plays the computer and she is a much happier child. I don't know if this has anything to do with the games or if it's just the way their personalities are. I do try to set a limit on how long he is permitted to play on the computer though.

my advice would be let him play for as long as he likes as he will get sore eyes and not want to play after a few days and also make him do his own things like washing up and making beds..he will soon have to do these things and he will have no time for the computer and he will eventually not be bothered about it
