I was always taught that water was tranparent. It reflects (or refracts, I always got those two mixed up) the colour of the environment. Vast expanses of water, such as oceans, rivers and lakes are usually blue, which is the strand of light it takes from the sky. That's why water in a glass is clear.

In sains, pure water is colourless. For me water is full of multi colour. You can see, water in a glass of milk is white in colour. Water in the juice of watermelon is red in colour. Water in the ink is considered to be blue or black. Water in the can of coke is brownish. Water in the black coffee is black in colour. Water in the orange juice is orange in colour. Water in the juice of star fruit is greenish. Water(juice) from blackcurrnt is purplish. Water in chinese ink is black in colour. Water in ... What a colourful liquid water is! lol.
