hey guys... this is what i got from the net... check it out..
THE SEVENTH AND the final Harry Potter book is on its way. Fasten your seat belts to enter the climax of a wonderful journey you have witnessed. Come July and Harry Potter fans across the world will have a double fiesta. J K Rowling has announced the release of the final book of Potter series on July 21, just eight days after the scheduled release of the fifth Potter film. However, the news that the book will only be available in print version and an online version will not be released left many people disappointed.
One can still remember the craze over the midnight release party of Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire. As many as 734 pages of fantasy and suspense tinkered the imagination of thousands of children across the world and the books became an instant hit. Rowling’s success lies not only in the fact that the first six books of the Potter series sold more than 325 million copies in 64 languages, but also that she gave kids of the 21st centuries an alternative to Quake 3 and Half Life.
When Enid Blyton’s Noddy or Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book failed, Rowling’s Harry Potter succeeded. And, the world perhaps witnessed the most happening phenomenon of the century in print.
Harry Potter became even more famous when Warner Brothers took the character to celluloid. All the four films released till date undoubtedly were successful and Daniel Radcliffe became the face of the century.
Rowling’s sixth book, which saw an end to the school headmaster Dumbeldore, raised a number of questions on the feasibility of the plot. Especially at a part when Dumbeldore failed to draw his magic wand from a distance to protect himself, a trick even the junior class students ok Hogwarts are well versed with. The critics termed it as a pressure from the publishers who made a certain number of deaths necessary in every episode to hold onto the interests of story.
Rumors are doing the round that the character of Potter will face the blow of death in the final series. Rowling herself maintained that if she kills her boy wizard, it will prevent anybody from writing about him in the future.
While hundreds of Harry Potter fans across the world wish this to be a publicity gimmick, hundreds others will be waiting eagerly for July 21 to know whether Harry and Hermoine lived happily ever after.
So how will it be? Will we have the stories of Harry Potter from many more authors like we have James Bond? Will we see new faces of character in the Warner Brother movies after Daniel Radcliffe? Or, is Rowling planning to kill all the chances and keep the character’s credit all to herself? We will have to wait till July to know all the answers.

we just have to wait and see for July 21 to come. I am also waiting for that day to come. I am also an avid fun. but i hope rowlings won't kill harry potter. i am also amaze why most people link harry and hermione when harry potter is meant for Ginny and hermione is for Ron. Although anyway you look at it, Harry and Hermione really look good together.

On J.K. Rowling's site she has confirmed multiple times that all 3 main characters WILL survive the end of the 7th book and an epilogue will be written to say what happens to them after this whole voldemort thing happens.. I believe the epilogue will be about them being grown up and such.
But just b/c all 3 main characters will survive doesn't mean side characters won't die.
