I think the first thing I would do would be to defragment my hard drive, if you do not know how, you can find instructions on how to do this by searching the internet. Next, go through the programming and get rid of anything you have installed that you do not use. Your best way for you to do this is go through the control panel, add or remove programs. If you are skilled, you can adjust the speed of your computer by tweaking some things, but if you are not, it is best to leave it at the manufacturers suggested speeds.

When you are done with internet always del temp files,Temp internet files and history.perform defragmentation and download a registry repair softwaer and run it on your system.Be careful when you are doing registry repair make a back up copy of registry before doing this.

maybe you can defrag your harddisk, or if your harddisk free space critical, you might free up a little more, so windows could allocate it for virtual memory, you also get rid unsuable and unnormal registry setting, if you're not expirenced with registry editing you could use thirdparty software like reg mechanic or the others, and also you could use application for optimise your windows setting so you will get a little faster accessing your windows (make a little feeling about faster computer), if you allready have money, I think you could get more ram first than HDD, but also must obeserver the case more deeper, IMHO
