It sounds so lame now, but at the time, it was great fun... back in high school, my friends and I "married" members of Duran Duran. I married John... My girlfriend, Rachel, "married" Simon... Andrea "married" Roger... Kim "married" Nick... I didn't have any friends interested in Andy, though. Anybody else brave enough to admit they did something lame in regards to Duran Duran? Come on, fess up! I couldn't have been the only delusional teenager out there back in the 80's!

I had a girlfriend in high school who LOVED Duran Duran! I however was of the U2 state of mind. This was the true battle of the bands way back when. LOL
Can you believe that the 80's are considered classic rock now?

Ok, I fell in love with John Taylor the first time I ever saw his picture on a Teen Bop magazine. I was 12. I was/have been a Duran Duran fan ever since. When I was 15 I used to pretend that I met John at a concert and he totally fell in love with me but we had to keep it a secret because I was so young. LOL. My best friend at the time was totally in love with Nick and she pretended pretty much the same thing. I was really lucky that my mother indulged me by buying EVERY magazine, book, record (we had vinyl back then)and 45 that we could find. My walls were covered in John Taylor posters. I did get a little paranoid about changing my clothes in my room for a while...all those eyes just staring at me kinda freaked me out. I was also lucky enough to see them 8 times in my lifetime. I still think John is totally hot for a 46 year old man. Gosh, can you believe that he is going to be 47 this year? Where did the time go??

My half sister was in love with one of them, though I can't remember the name. She used to copy his style and colour scheme. (Pink and gray) I liked Duran Duran but not enough to play games about them. If I would have it would probably have been Billy Idol because I had a crush on him when I was 12.

I was a Duran Duran fanatic. My walls were plastered with their pictures. I also had a friend who shared this passion, but to a much larger extent. I liked John, she like Simon. She has actually met them several times. She has a few pictures of herself with Simon on her myspace page. The only thing I might qualify as lame is that I had a penpal in Europe that would send me Duran Duran albums that were not available in the United States. And we had to contact them once to get permission to use their photos in our yearbook.

Wow, really? Is that true? .. Doing a flashback, whoah Duran Duran was soo popular here in the Philippines. We don't actually know their names but really, all their songs are a hit. I remember back then that me and my sister make it a point to buy weekly issues of songhits in a local store just to know and sing the entire lyrics of their songs? This is really nice. Can i have their autographs? Better late than never.^_^ LOL
