What is the best length for a beer pong table?

I was just wondering what the best length for the beer pong table is. I was thinking either a 10 or 8 foot table. The only problem i'm thinking is that the 10 foot table is too long and the 8 foot one is too short. The 10 foot one would make for a more interesting game though as it would take more skill. The 8 foot table would be way to easy but after you've had a couple, it might be more of a challenge :).
