Does violence on TV really prompt kids to result to violence? Let me know what you think.

TV can prompt kids to result to violence, as long as they are
watching violent films, movies without parental supervision.
You can easily filter the content of the TV by using Parental
Lock facility. However, a lot depends on the individual, some kids look at violence in a funny manner, while some kids try to emulate the violent acts.
So it all at the end of the day depends on the nature of the kid also, trying to restrict a kid who understands the fact that the violence shown in TV is not real is not a good idea.
As the kid will start rebelling without any reason.

What the children see is a contributory factor on what they do. The violence they see on TV affects their attitude and outlook towards life and as they grow older. they are prone to imitate what they see especially in TV programs where the villains are idolized. They see violence and most probably, they will do violence.

It pretty much depends how the kid has been brought up by his parents.
A kid who has been brought up with discipline and moral values... can distinguish between right and wrong while watching a movie.
While a kid who is constantly left alone because both of his parents work... will seek his education from other kids like him... who spend most of their time on the street.
I won't use the word "gang"... but those kids hang around in a group... and soon become territorial towards other groups. That is when the violence start. They become street kids and anything they see in a movie... they try it on the street... as they want to become good fighters in order to rule the neighborhood.
The street is really the breeding ground of future criminals. I don't blame the kids. I always blame the parents.
