if you had a choice between you dying or a child dying which would you choose?

It's a very thought provoking scenario.Now also I couldn't say what will be my answer if I face the same situation.If I say that I will die and let my child live means I am bluffing.What I will do if I am in that type of situation,I will move with some sort of strategy so that we both can survive.

i would definately die so my child could live. there is no way i would let my child die in replace of myself

I would definitely die so my child could live that is without question. I know it would be hard on them to live with such images but I would hope that with some councelling they would be able to put it behind them.

There is no way I would let anybody kill my son. I would rather be tortured and shot.

I agree with you, there is no way I could choose my life over that of one of my children. My heart would ache that they would have to live with that sight but as you said at least they would have the chance to live.

This is the most difficult question i have come across in Mylot. I really doubt that anybody will give a choice of killing the child or taking the life of the parent. Obviously the killer will without any doubt kill everyone and try running for his/her life to escape the clutches of the law. However, the best strategy to overcome such a situation is fight or flight i.e. either you fight for your life and your child's life or else run for your life.

That's cruel, I would definately die in the hope that my little one would be spared. I'd even try not to make a fuss about it, maybe the child would be so busy crying that a lot of the worst bits wouldn't stay with him. Let's hope none of us ever have to find out for real.

I would have my child live, no matter what he/she has seen, i would want my child to live, i made a decision to create a life, and my childs life would go on, no matter what happens to me, after all this is all i can give them, a start, the rest is in gods hands from the moment they are born, so yes i would gladly give up my life to save my child, without a doubt.

i would definately choose for myself to die. i have already lived a good life, i would like for my child to have a chance at that.

I would definitely want my child to live . I would pray that they would be able to block out what they were being forced to see and like you said that they would be able to get some counseling to be able to help them get through this tramautic event , and would hope that he/she would always remember how much I loved him/her .

I would rather die than see a child die. They deserve to live longer and have a better life.

i would not want to see a child that came from me be killed and not get to live out their live so i would take the bullet and hope like hell my child can still grow up without to much trauma

well if i had to watch my own kid die i don't think i'd want to live after that anyway. i would definately want her to be the one to live. i've been here for a while now and i would like to give my daughter a chance at a life. she has lots of other people here that could support her and take care of her and help her through all of this.

I'd let the child expire. You only get to live once. And I've'nt enjoyed my life fully yet.

I would certainly save my child as he had not seen this world and i cant see my child dying in front of me ....

The better option would be to kill the person who gives me this option . I will kill him like a dog .Give him a big Punch . Even if it may lead to me and mychild both dying . The idea here is to die like a tiger. If somehow the person is god then I will die. But I am sure God is not that harsh . Hey By the way how did this question come into Your mind ? I guess ........ Well I think Its just came .I dont think that a parent would say he will allow his child to die for him. But why do people get into a bad act like abortion .Its also like making your child due to your future comforts . I wish that you agree .

for i rather choose to die than my child dying..because i already experience to live in this world..to met a lot of people..so i give my child to live in this world

I dont wanna die... and I dont want my child to die either! Ofcourse, I'll let her live! I just wish she could continue her life without me and forget the suffering part.. i dont want this to happen to us anyways.....

This is tough one. Both scenarios would bring great damage and pain to any of the party. But as mother, I will offer myself for my child. Just like what you've said, the child may grow to be a good person, knowing that I sacrifice my life for him.

i would like to die on behalf of a child.because i can't live killing a child.it will against humanity.
