Oh, Wow-Ben told Juilet that he would let her go home???

Hey did anyone else catch that at the end of "Lost" last night, that Ben would let Juliet go home if she helped the losties get the boat and go to the other island. Jack was in the middle of surgery with Ben (who seems to be the leader for the "others". He showed where they were recruiting Juliet? Wow--what a show with a lot of twists!!!! What is the next "twist" around the corner?

Yea I was kind of shocked that he said that. Do you guys really think he'll let her go? It will be interesting to find out how exactly one gets off the island. It's clear by the food drop offs that someone knows that people are on the island. If they come take Juliet home won't she tell people about this place? How will she explain being gone for so long? Or will the modify her memory somehow? I like that we got her background story, she was such a differnt woman back then in some ways. I really don't understand how Hanso recruits people, what their objective is. That part of the story line is going to be so great.
From the previews it looks like Kate is going to try and go back for Jack. Which I think is stupid, b/c the losties are outnumbered and don't have enough knowledge of the other island to sucessfully get Jack.
Did anyone else feel terrible for Alex? I thought that she was Rousseaus daughter... but yesterday Juliet implied that Ben was her father. Ben is so freakin creepy. I just feel sad that she is stuck there, has no control of her own life. It's really sad.
So far a good start for the show!

What makes you think she isn't Rousseau's daughter? Ben could be her adoptive father.

True. But I meant biological father. Has it been made clear that she is Rousseau's daughter yet? It's very possible Ben "adopted" her I put it in quotations because it's more like he stole her. I wonder if that is true, if Alex will find out this season.

I sort of think that Alex was an experiment baby--that Rosseau was being testing on like Juliet's sister (aka Calamity Jane, hee!) and that Ben was the sperm donor. I dunno. I hope we get some answers soon! I'm starting to get overwhelmed by the mysteries.

Yes, it seems to me that they have been holding Juliette against her will for a long time now. As far as we know, she left before her sister had the baby. It's quite possible that she has not seen her sister in 3 years. We don't even know if she is still alive or what happened with the baby.
What we do know, she seems to really want to get home. Or.....is it all a show for Jack.
