In the news today a NY cabbie tracked down and returned 31 diamond rings to a passeger. She had left him a 30 cent tip on an $11 ride. After they were returned to her she offered him $100 reward. Would you have returned the diamonds? Would you have acceptd the reward. What do you think of someone leaving a 30 cents tip? I think the cabbie was very nice to even track her down . He could have just given it to the lost and found and said forget it. Let her find them.

I think its good to hear that there are still good people left in this world - granted she did not leave a good tip - but I do not think it is reason to 'punish' her - maybe it will teach her to tip her cabbies better b/c they arent all bad people!

Yes, I would have returned the diamonds and yes, I certainly would have accepted the reward - if she could afford 30 diamond rings she certainly could have afforded more than a 30 cent tip that is horrid. I'm nearly concidered poor and don't own even 1 diamond ring but I leave more than a 30 cent tip - unless of course I get horrid service then I leave a nickle.
