Living Horcruxes?

Alright, I must give some props to thisgirlIknow for making me think of this.
There are plenty of theories being bandied around about various people--namely Harry and/or Ginny being made into horcruxes, as well as our favorite dirty great serpent Nagini.
Now, I'm inclined to believe it would not be the best use of the Dark Lord's resources to put part of his soul in something that can think for itself.
But let's suppose for a moment that he did. What would happen to that fragment of soul if, say, Nagini was killed? Is that fragment of soul thus gone as well? I'm inclined to believe so, since his soul had to leave the other snakes he possessed.
What d'you think?

I think so. When Nagini is killed, I think its much like a horcrux being destroyed.
I wonder if Voldemort feels when a horcrux is destroyed.

Dumbledore and Harry discussed that at some point in Half-Blood Prince, and I'm not sure that they came to a satisfactory conclusion.

I could see him doing it in an extreme emergency putting a piece of his soul in a living being as Horcruxes but Voldemort usually planned things out extremely well. I'm sure he had it all figured out long before and that all his horcruxes are secure someplace or another. I would think putting it in a living being would be very risky considering you never know what will happen to them. Also if it was in Harry, considering how he might have done it in a panic when he knew he would die when he didn't defeat him, would he really try to kill him then? He'd want that part of the soul back or kept safe until he needed.

Well Voldemort put a part of his soul in Nagini so that he can control her as well as make it a horcrux.. its makes her more resistant to many factors an increases her life span so she wont die by ordinary means. An since she s always around Voldemort is suffucent protection i guess.. i also thing harry's scar s also an horcruex an he s gonna have to sacrifice himself tryin to get rid of it.. ut he wont be able to kill himself i guess..
