Hello. just wanted to let everyone know that i found this wonderful positive website for women who have PCOS or think that they may have it. its called: www.pcoscoach.com
this is the first website i have found that is positive. it tells you about PCOS but also about how to live a normal happy life with PCOS.
there is also a book offered on the site that i bought and cant put it down. and she mentions a low gi diet called new revolution. they have one specificaly for PCOS and i bought it on ebay. when i get it i will let everyone know how it is.
if anyone knows of any other good sites please let me know!! thank you!

I was diagnosed with PCOS last January 2005 and was told that I can not have a baby unless I was given a fertility pill. My January 2006 TVU also showed the same result. But May 2006, I found that I was actually expecting a child. I gave birth to a very healthy boy last December.
This is also a good site:

Congratulations on your baby boy, wow Im stocked for you.
I to have PCOS. Diagnosed in January 2005 and had my baby girl in Septmeber 2006. Although I'd rather not have it 9lol wouldn't we all like to get rid of PCOS) but it has made me so appreciative for my baby girl, my loving husband and for life itself.

Just thought I would recomment an Australian website that has amazing information resources on PCOS.
www.posaa.asn.au
There is a forum there, regular surveys and questions asked. The community there is very helpful so if you are Australian or just want to have a peek, check it out.

I would recommend your daughter getting tested for Insulin Resistance as this is what a lot of women with PCOS have and they find it hard to lose weight.
If you know whether she is insulin resistant or not, you can then work out her diet.
They say losing weight will help with managing PCOS.

there is a lot to learn about it ...and im still learning....i really reccomend that book thats she has on the site as well as the new revolition way of eating for PCOS. i have learned so much from those books. Also try and make sure your daughter has a great doctor who understands what she has and doesnt just say oh its just a fertility thing....cuz it is more than that! good luck! and thank you for responding!
