Do you play the sims?

I don't play many games on the computer and specially not many games that take a long time, but I must confess I love to play the sims. I started playing it as soon as it came out and since then have bought all aditions and now the sims2 and its aditions as well.
I don't play every day, but when I do, I am playing it for hours :)
DO you like to play the sims? How many hours do you play in a row? What part of it attracts you the most ( do you like being able to create and decorate the houses, get your sims to enter new careers and make money, the socializing aspect... what do you enjoy the most?

I have played Sims 1 and Sims 2 with most of the add-ons that were available at the time. I absolutely love the socializing aspect of the game. It's pretty fun to create a household, too, but I mostly make my houses one floor only because my computer runs a bit slow if I get any fancier. *laugh* My real draw to playing the game is the social aspect, though, anyway. I love to create characters based on me and my friends and other people that I am interested in, and let them interact on their own. I'm fascinated with human behavior, and while the Sims are not real humans to study, they do mimic human behavior quite well. They are just so much fun to watch! ^_^ I haven't played in awhile, but I keep thinking about it because I would truly like to get back into the game. I just spend too much time posting here to really find the time to do it right now! *laugh*

You are right about the fact that they do mimic human behavior quite well. I always like to make their temperaments and tastes different and I try to see which will go better with which one... yes that is great too.
I tend to play when I'm more stressed or tired because it does relax me

I LOVE the Sims. I love the Sims 2 even a little bit more. My very favourite part is building and decorating the houses. Making the people is also fun. I don't think I actually enjoy the gameplay itself as much.

Firstly i have to tell you that i played the sims game when i was a child, nowadays i dont play these kind of games because i dont like at all.
In my oppinion the sims has been a great game although it has been more played by the women.

Yes , specially if we are more interested in action it certainly will hit the boring stage at some point:)
FOr me, I don't even have much time to play games no matter what they are..but I find the creating and decorating each house very relaxing and therapeutic.
