I've been away for a while and I have posted a discussion similar to this, but I wanted to let everyone know that you can make some pretty decent money out there by blogging alone. I have been away from mylot for the past three weeks to launch three brand new blog projects with the sole intention of bringing in a decent amount of money in a few months time. Just this month I brough another one online to payperpost bringing my total to two blogs with them. I also have a total of 3 blogs now online with blogitive. In two more weeks I will be bringing 2 more on ine with payperpost and blogitive.
I am getting around $5 for each paid posting that I am doing for them and with a total of 5 blogs at one post each per day I can make $25, I am allowed 2 per day from each blog service, so I can make $20 per blog, or $100 per day. Of course that is the maximum I am going to make, I figure I'll come in close to $40 per day which times 30 days is an extra $600 per month.
I'll still be posting here but with much less frequency then before, so to my friend on mylot if I don't get back to you or respond to your topics right away, just know that I am very busy and I will get to you as soon as I can!

you can definitely make some decent money with sponsored (or paid) posting. The more traffic and the higher page rank you have, the better offers you get. On reviewme.com our blog is worth 20$ per post. Although we'll see if we get any reviews there.
Our page rank is now a 4 :) with a nice income of traffic. Check us out at http://blogaboutyourblog.com

Good luck with your blogging. I have just recently been approved for payperpost, blogvertise, bogitive and loudlaunch. I have two more blogs that I'm setting up for approval with these companies. One of my blogs is hosted on my own domain, as I did notice that payperpost is starting to back away from the free blogging hosts.

It may be backing away, but there will always be a need for it to use the free hosting services. The people they are entering into deals with will want their product out there. PPP's higher offers are going to go to those people who are ranked very high and have their own domain name. Eventually I plan to go this route, but only after I finish experimenting with a few of my other blogs. The problem is once I move I have to build up readership and viewership again and that can take a while.

I have just got my blog onto ppp. It's a cool opp. I don't want my blog to focus totally on paid blogging though because I still want it to be interesting for me readers and not just a big advert. But when I see something that will fit in with my theme and think my readers will benfit from I certainly will write about it.
Good luck to you

I really try to limit mine to pne paid opportunity per day so that my readers don't get lost with all of the entries. That is why I am trying to get my other blogs approved there. That way i can make more money and not clog up my blogs with tons of paid postings.

With blogspot, etc. you have built-in support for blogging features. When you create your own domain, how do you set up a blog--do you sign up for a service for blogging capabilities, or buy software or something?
The blog hosting services make it easy to take all this for granted...
